Zoë Boekbinder’s sound is rich and unique and whimsical and meaningful. In their music, you hear the ongoing evolution of someone constantly working to grow and improve the world around them. Intersectional feminist/activist/striver/example-setter
I’m pretty excited about their upcoming release, The Prison Music Project. From the very beginning as a visit to New Folsom Prison, this has been ten years in the making, a collaborative project between Boekbinder & incarcerated musicians/writers. The album comes out June 5th, and I’ve definitely preordered my copy. Profits are set to go to communities hit hardest by mass incarceration.
