Josh Ritter is brilliant. And I misspelled “brilliant” the first time I wrote that, so clearly I know what I’m talking about. He’s another artist whose show I will never miss if he’s anywhere near. It’s rare to see someone so perfectly and consistently happy to be doing what he’s doing. His joy positively radiates.
On a more personal note, his music is particularly special to me because my partner will always play one of his songs on the jukebox wherever we are, a quiet gesture between the two of us. Wherever we are, when I hear Josh Ritter, I can look up and catch Richard’s eye and know it’s for me.
